It turns out my brother has special incredible magical cat powers that he used to make sure the lady peep realized what his real forever name is. This is how he did it.
The lady peep was driving down the street in her car wondering what the baby's name was, when she saw a sign for the new movie Hairspray.
Which made her think about John Travolta...which took quite a while, because the lady peep really really likes John Travolta. So, then she remembered John Travolta used to be Vinnie Barbarino in the TV show Welcome Back Kotter...the lady peep is really old. She was alive in the 60's...
Then suddenly she was thinking about names that sounded like Vinnie...and
That made her think of Finnie...which she had already thought of kinda (except she was thinking Finnigan). But to get back to the story of my brother's name...
The lady peep thought she was getting close to the right name when she started thinking about names which could have Finnie for a nickname.
And that made her think about Phineus cause Phinny sounds like Finnie...
AND then she went to see the new Harry Potter movie last night...
And there on the family tree on the wall at Magic Headquarters was the same name - yup, Phineus - which the lady peep realized was a very important, truly significant, sign to let her know Phinny was absolutely positively the right name for my brother.
Which proves beyond a doubt that my new brother, Phinny, has magical, supernatural powers, which is very very cool. Although I told him he went to a whole lot of trouble to make sure we all had his name right, when all he really had to do was walk up to the lady peep and yell in her ear - Hey lady peep, my name is Phineus, so stop calling me Fella. That's what I woulda done.
And that's the story of how my brother Phinny got his name.

That is a good sign for picking a name. Hi Phineas.
Eddy, I actually think you're magical too--you had to train your lady peep to pay close attention first! Tell Phinny hi from all of us and maybe some day he can guest-blog.
