I can't believe it. The lady peep has been crying and crying and really sad because she thought Marble was gone for good, but just like the song says the cat came back.
I don't know for sure how many of you guys knew about my friend Marble's house being broken into just before Christmas. It was really kinda scary and the ladypeep didn't want to freak everyone out just before Christmas, but Marble's house had a burglary...thank goodness nothing really important was taken, but when it was over, they left the back door open at Marble's house and he got outside...which wouldn't have been so bad ordinarily, but there was no one home to tell him to come back in, so he went for a walk and got lost....jup...lost...and it was really cold outside...really cold....reallly, really cold...anyway he didn't come home and the lady peep and his peeps were very very sad. They thought he was gone forever and he was gone for a very long time...a month and a half. He just couldn't find his way home. Then, just last week, the granddaughter peep was walking home from school and he found her, a long long way from his house. The grandaughter peep picked him up in her arms and carried him home.
He's a mess. Literally a mess. His hair is full of matts, he's really skinny and his ear got nipped (not the good kind, the really really bad kind) and turned black and it's really gross and kinda crunchy.
Anyway when the lady peep heard he was back, she swooped down to Calgary and brought him here to vist (cause he has to go to the VET to make sure he's okay after his ordeal). So he's here visiting just like old times. The lady peep said she'd post a picture of him whenever she downloads the camera again. Guess what, the frostnip made part of his ear fell off just the other night. The lady peep was all freaked out, cause she can't find it. I knew it. Somehow she's gonna blame me for this. And, he's taking antibiotics and worm medicine and I gotta take worm medicine too just in case, (cause we eat from the same dish and use the same potty). But you know what..I'm just so darn glad he's back, I don't even mind. I'm giving him a "grace" period and putting up with his badness, but my patience is wearing kinda thin already. So we've had a chat and I've made sure he undertands the rules around here.
You know what. Marble says outside isn't very nice after all. He always wondered about it before he went for that long walk, but now he says its nicer inside the house...I expect he's right. If I ever have an outside adventure its gonna be in the summertine when there's birdies and squirrels and things to see.
And the lady peep is really glad Marble is back

Oh Eddy, I told yoo he'd be back. Right in the comments when yoo sed yoo were sad because Marble wuz gone. I just knew he'd come back. I'm glad yoor frend iz there wif yoo now. Oh, I opened yoor present - finally - cuz mom haz a new camera. Did yoo see da pikshers? I keep yoor piksher on my desk in my room. O.K., it's mom and dads room, but dey only use it a couple hours in da nite time anyway. I kiss it every day...~Zippy
NOOOOOOO! we didn't know 'bout Marble bein' missing an all. we sure hope he's gonna be okay an we're so happy he's back. poor Marble!
Terriffic news that Marbles is back. He might have a few issues of cold and crunchies ears. Hope he can report on his adventures.
But Marbles, stay inside and stay warm for now on.
