A night to remember

It's 7:02 a.m. on Sunday morning and I've already got a lot accomplished this morning. For instance, I woke the lady peep up at 6:38 a.m. so she'd come out here and turn the computer on. She was NOT HAPPY to be waking up this early on Sunday because she was up very late last night.

She and the man peep both came with me and Zipp to the theatre. Not because we needed a chaperone or anything like that, but because they weren't sure they'd let two cats, 1 wearing a pink diamond studded choker collar and tiara and the other wearing a grey tuxedo and white govees, into the building unescorted...not to mention we're too short to reach the doors..... She was also just a tiny bit scared that we'd be trampled on the escalator... Its very dangerous when you're a cat with a hankering for culture...(That's what she says).

We were very lucky...we found a parking spot quite close to the stage door - that's where the performers come in ... I wonder why they need their own door. Zippy wanted to stand outside there and wait for Matthew Broderick to go in, so he could get an autograph and a belly rub from him. She was major disappointed when I told her that the understudies were doing this performance. She muttered something about "jeez, did they think I came all the way from Wiskonsin, wearing a tiara, in a teleporter for heaven's sakes, to watch the understudies?.... Actually, I thought she did it to look nice for me...sigh... I guess I don't understand girlcats yet.

Anyway...we got safely into the building and lots of folks were glad to see us. Here is a picture of people watching up make our grand entrance.

As you can see, we got quite the standing ovation. I was so proud of Zippy. She looked so beautiful.
So after we finally got settled into our seats the show started. It was wonderful, our seats were really high up in the theatre ('cause cats like to climb up really high) and we could see everything with our own eyes. The peeps had to use binoculars. Because we was so high up, the singing sounds were really loud and bouncing off the ceiling, which was kinda distracting, but exciting once you got used to it.

The peeps in the play were extremely glad to see us. They actually took a moment in the middle of the play to wave at Zippy and me.

The man peep didn't like being up high in the theatre though. He was having problems with his hearing aids. He said with his hearing aids on, everything was too loud, and with the hearing aids off, he couldn't hear jackss%%*t...(His words, not mine). So he kinda hogged the binoculaors, so at least he could see the show. See what I mean...

After a while the lady peep told him he was acting kinda childish...heh,heh,heh (had to throw that in)

We really enjoyed the first half of the show. Then it was INTERMISSION TIME. Guess what! they got no drinks at the theatre for cats... can you belive it. Now if you was a peep, you coulda had lots of martinis and and chocolate and some people was eating icecream bars, but nothing for cats to drink or eat so you know what we had to do, don't you.

Yup...

After intermission we went back to our seats and enjoyed the 2nd half of the show. Me and Zippy held paws all the way through the 2nd half and on the way back to my place, I got a whisker rub. Zowee, I really impressed her last night. Anyway we got our chauffeurs (aka the peeps) to take us home where we had the most amazing nightcap ever. Absolutely delicious. I especially loved the garnish...mmmmousies.

All in all, it was a magical night. I got to go out on the town with my best girl and see a major broadway show. I was really sorry when the night was over and Zippy had to teleport back home to Wiskonsin.

Zippy, I hope you got home safely. I'll see you soon. Lotsa hugs and kisses,

Your best boyfriend

Ed
