I am a purebred Maine Coon Kitten according to the breeder lady where my peeps got me. I was born in late June 2005, so am not quite one year old. As you can see in the pics on my blog site, I’m already a big boy and I’m planning to get a lot bigger.
My lady peep says I am a really smart cat boy, because I can figure things out really fast and am really good at planning sneak attacks on Sam the Dog. My lady peep likes to play with me and laughs at me a lot when I do silly things. She gives really good love hugs and belly rubs. One of the best things we do together is play mouse on a string. We have a striped mouse on an elastic band that she drags around the house really early in the morning. My job is to pounce on it and catch it when I can. Now that I’m getting so big and grown up, she plays tricks on me sometimes. She makes the mouse jump up really high or hide behind the couch, and I have to look really hard to find it. The mouse smells excellent and makes me all excited and then I get really giddy and roll around on the floor and purr and meow. My female peep always laughs out loud when I do that. She laughs even harder when I run really fast and slide down the hardwood floor into the mat at the end of the hall. Sometimes when I do that, she says I’m freaking out.
The lady peep feeds me every day. I get to eat really good hard crunchy bits that she calls kitty kibble, whenever I want, and every morning while she waits for her coffee to cook, she gives me Snappy Tom – its delicious cat sushi. I love it sooooooooooooo much. Sometimes when we’re not able to get to Critters to pick it up, she gives me other ok stuff – always fish because I like it best and she says its better for me than beef bellies and bits. I don’t like my peeps food at all but I love to play with something they call popcorn. I can bat it around the family room until the dog eats it. Stoopid dog.
The other peep is a man peep. He is very extremely nice to the lady peep and loves her a lot. He loves me and Sam the Dog too. I know this because I’m smart that I figured it out and the lady peep tells us. The man peep doesn’t talk to me as much as the lady peep does, he's the strong silent type, but he always buys me toys at Zellers and Wal-Mart and says hi big guyto me, when he gets home from work. What I like best about him is that he will share his TV watching chair with me and he plays head butt with me . What happens is I jump up on the TV watching chair with him and he makes a fist and I bump my head against it. We do this for a long time and then he rubs my ears and my chin and calls me a silly tomcat.
The worst thing about the man peep is that he is deaf. He wears hearing aids in both ears. Sometimes I think he’s faking being deaf because I don’t think a deaf person should be able to hear me purring in the middle of the night. My lady peep always says. Why is it that you cannot hear the phone ringing on the night table beside the bed in the middle of the night but you can hear the cat purring 20 feet away? She’s got a really good point. It’s so not fair. Because my purring keeps him awake, he’s the one who says, get down Eddy. No cats on the bed. When he out of town working, the lady peep lets me sleep beside her neck.
There’s lots more stuff that I need to tell everyone about and I will some other time, right now my paws are getting tired from typing and no nose hurts from pressing on the “shift” key. I want to explain about why they took my testicles, about my best friend Marble, and the reasons I can’t go outside, and about my extra toes, and my climbing tree. Please come back and visit again.

It sounds like you have very nice human pets who take excellent care of you! My human pet is a teacher for the hearing-impaired so she was particularly interested in your male human pet's ability to hear you purr. She said that was fascinating!
Eddy, you should go to my archive on 4/28 and see what I wrote For Guys Only, about the importance of the hoo-ha-ectomy.

Eddy, My person like me to sleep close to her. Its nice, but she's kinda restless when she sleeps s I don't stay long. I wake her up every morning to go and make my breakfast!

It's possible your power-purring vibrates the bed and the man peep thinks he's hearing what he's feeling.
Or he could just be trying to keep you out of the bed. I am more apt to go with this conspiracy theory, than the vibration bunk.
Sleep with one eye open, Eddy...
Hi Eddy! We just found your blog too! Nice to meet you! We are Sammy and Miles. Come and visit us!
Hi Eddy. Us long-haired kitties are the best. I added your link to my page.

Welcome to blogging. I'm a fuzzy Maine Coon also.
HI Eddy! Sounds like you have a great time up there in Alberta! And your people sound like they are just about the nicest ones around, except for that laughing at you stuff. We cats have our pride.
